September Is the Time to Rejuvenate Your Lawn

Core Aeration & Overseeding Services
Center Lot- $125.00
Corner Lot- $150.00

What are the benefits of aeration?
Core aeration helps the lawn’s health and vigor, and it reduces maintenance requirements. The following are other benefits of core aeration:

• Improved air exchange between the soil and atmosphere
• Enhanced soil water uptake
• Improved fertilizer uptake and use
• Reduced water runoff and puddling
• Improved turf grass rooting
• Reduced soil compaction
• Enhanced heat and drought stress tolerance
• Improved resiliency and cushioning
• Enhanced thatch breakdown

Broadcast overseeding of entire yard lawn areas will be completed, utilizing a fescue variety of grass seed.  Fescue grass varieties are drought tolerant, require less fertilizer, develop a deep root system and thus are eco friendly.

Services for the Week of 5/1/17

Update for Friday May 5th
Due to pending rain the scheduled lawn application will be delayed until next week.

Lawn mowing is on schedule barring any rain events.

We will be completing our second application of Fertilizer with Pre-Emergent Weed Control.  It is advisable to water this product into the lawn.  DO NOT do any hand raking of your lawn for 6 weeks following this application, as this will break the weed control barrier on the soil.

Grass Mowing Services

Grass mowing services will begin on Monday, April 17, 2017.  The scheduling and routing will remain the same as prior years.

It is also time to get your irrigation system up and running for the season.  Make sure all irrigation heads are functioning properly and most importantly fully irrigating all of the lawn areas.

First Product Application of the Season

We will be completing our Slow Release Fertilizer with Pre-Emergent Weed Control on Friday, March 17, 2017 (weather permitting).

This application provides nutrients to the soil that are utilized by the grass plant.  It also creates a barrier on the soil surface to inhibit the germination of existing weed seeds in the soil.

To ensure the best outcome...
Please DO NOT DO ANY TYPE OF RAKING OF YOUR LAWN FOR 6 WEEKS AFTER THIS APPLICATION IS COMPLETED!
Raking disrupts the weed control barrier on the soil and diminishes the products effectiveness.

For any questions or concerns please call 609-971-8551 or www.info@meticulousinc.com.

Impending Snow Storm

It appears winter has not left us yet.  With reports of a snow event scheduled for tomorrow our crews are gearing up.  At this point a concensus on the amount of snow we are to receive is all over the map.  But given this our equipment is in your area and ready to go as needed.
I will be updating this blog as needed over the course of this snow event.

Should anyone have any questions or concerns.  Please call 609-971-8551 or info@meticulousinc.com

March Update

We are coming up on spring but as we all know March is a very unpredictable month.
Within the next couple of weeks we will be onsite to make our first lawn application of the season.  This application will be Slow Release Fertilizer with Pre-Emergent Weed Control.  This product not only fertilizes your lawn for a spring green up but also inhibits the existing seeds of grassy weeds such as crab grass from germinating into actual plants.
Please note this product will also inhibit any type of grass seed that is put down during the spring and early summer season.
Very Important! Do Not do any type of lawn raking after the first application and the month of June. Raking will disrupt the weed control barrier that forms on the soil surface.
Remember nothing is 100%...so should there be a breakthrough of weeds we will be following up with a weed control spray as needed.  Your property mangers will notify you of the exact date of service.
Please check back regularly for service updates.

SNOW EVENT UPDATE

Wednesday 2/8/2017

There is a predicted snow event in your area for Thursday, 2/9/2017.  The current report indicates rain beginning overnight, changing to snow in the early morning, ending around noon, with a potential accumulation of 5-8 inches.
Please note with this storm beginning with rainfall the potential for residual ice on hard surface areas can be expected.  We will do our best to clear as close to the surface without causing damage.  It is advisable to homeowners to have ice melt on hand for walkways and driveways if required.

Additional Information

Snow & Winter Services

Winter is right around the corner and with it brings the snow and ice.  I would like to take this opportunity to address some key points about the snow removal services for your community.
When a winter weather advisory is reported our crews go into action moving the necessary equipment into the community to assure our readiness to complete this service in a safe and timely manner.
It is the responsibility of your township to clear the community streets and roadways. Only once the streets are adequately cleared we can begin the process of clearing driveways.
Safety is our priority, so first and foremost our goal is to clear all of the driveways to provide the residents with a safe exit route from their homes.  No one wants to feel like they are snow bound and without an exit in the event of an emergency. Our next priority is the clearing of your service walkways.
Depending on the amount of accumulation, our crews will return the following day to do fine clearing of driveway aprons, walkways, access to mailboxes and fire hydrants, and ensuring that the street sewer grates are clear of ice and debris.
Snow removal is not a perfect science as conditions are always different and can change readily.  What begins as a light fluffy snow fall can turn within hours into a wet heavy ice encrusted mess. We ask for your patience and that you please avoid approaching active machinery to speak with the machine operators.  This is a safety concern for both you as well as our employees.

**Please note all medical priority service must be approved by Management prior to snow events.

Through the event we stay in close contact with board members and management staff and work upon their direction to fully meet the specific needs of your community.

During snow events we will be doing community updates every two hours during the hours of
6 am- 10 pm, or as required during overnight hours.

Questions please call 609-971-8551 or info@meticulousinc.com

1/6/2017 Update

As of 9:00 am NO SERVICES for snow removal or de-icing have been requested.

                                                                     Snow Forecasted

1-3 inches expected 1/5/2017, snow beginning at approximately 8pm and ending 6am. We are preparing and moving equipment to community. Upon Board approval, snow removal services will begin when the township has completed the clearing of the community streets.

A helpful hint... When you hear the tractors on your street...open your garage door to help in clearing to edge of driveway. This helps to speed the process to get everyone serviced.

Remember the shovelers follow the tractors but do not always keep up with the speed of the tractors. Be patient they will catch up and complete the clearing of your driveway and service walks.

Updates on this blog will be available up till 10 pm and beginning again at 6am.

Starting sites are rotated with every event, insuring not everyone is always first and not everyone is always last.

Please do not approach workers or machines. We ask this not only for your safety but also theirs.
