Wednesday 2/8/2017

There is a predicted snow event in your area for Thursday, 2/9/2017.  The current report indicates rain beginning overnight, changing to snow in the early morning, ending around noon, with a potential accumulation of 5-8 inches.
Please note with this storm beginning with rainfall the potential for residual ice on hard surface areas can be expected.  We will do our best to clear as close to the surface without causing damage.  It is advisable to homeowners to have ice melt on hand for walkways and driveways if required.

Snow & Winter Services

Winter is right around the corner and with it brings the snow and ice.  I would like to take this opportunity to address some key points about the snow removal services for your community.
When a winter weather advisory is reported our crews go into action moving the necessary equipment into the community to assure our readiness to complete this service in a safe and timely manner.
It is the responsibility of your township to clear the community streets and roadways. Only once the streets are adequately cleared we can begin the process of clearing driveways.
Safety is our priority, so first and foremost our goal is to clear all of the driveways to provide the residents with a safe exit route from their homes.  No one wants to feel like they are snow bound and without an exit in the event of an emergency. Our next priority is the clearing of your service walkways.
Depending on the amount of accumulation, our crews will return the following day to do fine clearing of driveway aprons, walkways, access to mailboxes and fire hydrants, and ensuring that the street sewer grates are clear of ice and debris.
Snow removal is not a perfect science as conditions are always different and can change readily.  What begins as a light fluffy snow fall can turn within hours into a wet heavy ice encrusted mess. We ask for your patience and that you please avoid approaching active machinery to speak with the machine operators.  This is a safety concern for both you as well as our employees.

**Please note all medical priority service must be approved by Management prior to snow events.

Through the event we stay in close contact with board members and management staff and work upon their direction to fully meet the specific needs of your community.

During snow events we will be doing community updates every two hours during the hours of
6 am- 10 pm, or as required during overnight hours.
